I take that back

sometimes I feel hungover, even when I've had nothing to drink at all.

I think I'm going to start only drinking water.

Also, I'm sorry that I haven't posted a review yet. Jeff came over last night and we stayed up playing video games. I promise I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

I enjoy an early morning

I've got a lot done today, and still have so much of the day left to work.

Feels good to be back.

I paid my bills, got a credit card, booked some shows, and am now taking care of some contracts.

I also went and got some One Fifty Ate (158) bagels this morning. The most orgasmic breakfast every time.

Should be posting some sort of review tonight. Stay tuned.

Musical Commentary

I'm going to start reviewing records.

I haven't decided which artist I'm going to start with, but it's something new, something fresh, and something that's going to blow your minds.

No more Temp Work

It's Sunday evening, and I'm at the office by myself watching the game. NYG up 12, 4th & Goal for PHI, 4th quarter with 6:00 minutes left. Eagles just scored, and got the extra point. We're looking at 36 NYG | 31 PHI. This has been a really good game.

Friday was my last day at the Hannaford Brother's Corporate office. I'm ecstatic to be back working for myself. This weekend has been fairly busy. I had a metal show on Friday and a metal show on Saturday, both were fairly boring, Friday did have a good crowd though. Saturday night Tom and Jeff were both here, Jules came over to hang out with us for the night. We ended up renting Freddy Got Fingered over the PlayStation Network for $2.99, easily the worst $2.99 ever spent. It did have a few funny moments, though. 'Backwards man, the backwards man, I can go backwards faster than anyone can.' Haha. That kept us up until.. oh, I'd say about 4:00am, then we all crammed into one bedroom and fell asleep. Jules woke me up at 9:00ish because she was headed out. The other guys slept until about noon.

Jeff and I went out and got pizza at Romeo's and then made it into Portland to flyer for Sondre Lerche and Shiny Toy Guns.

After we flyered Portland, I went on a nostalgic trip back to Scarborough High School to see this year's Oak Hill Player's performance, they did Roger Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. I caught up with some old friends and then headed back here to the office.

I played a bunch of Fall Out 3 and Battlefield Bad Company with Jeff, and now Tom is here and we're getting ready for next week's work schedule. So much to do, and for once.. plenty of time.

Allentown, Pennsylvania

First off, I hate you,

and I love you.

You smashed into my car and robbed me,

and you house my best friend.

My best friend Paul Bayley came home from Muhlenberg to visit me on October 9th. We spent a lot of time hanging out around Portland, we hit up some bars, and he was able to make it out for the Sparks the Rescue CD Release show at The Station on the 11th, we had a lot of fun catching up. We ended up deciding that I should go back to school with him for the next week and just hang out around the Campus since, at the time, I didn't really have much going on.

We left for Pennsylvania on Sunday morning. I didn't really know exactly what I was getting into. We filled up the Zune with a good 24 gb of music to get us there, packed some food and drinks for the road and started our 416 mile journey.

It took us about 10 hours to get there, we made a few stops, one of them unfortunately being Brooklyn, NY because Paul had to pee, and we needed gas pretty badly. It was so sketchy there, I'd never been, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Man, I would not want to live there! We finally made it down to his college, got me registered, and everything all situated. I met his roommate, Matt, that evening, and this really cute girl named Sally. Other than that, we didn't do a whole lot that evening, but we were both exhausted from the trip.

Monday was very cool, I met Brooke, Paul's girlfriend, and she came up to the room to find me, and we went and got tea and she showed me around the campus (Paul had classes and work all day), and we became very great friends. I really enjoyed spending the day with her, I was worried I wasn't going to make any friends! Later on I was better introduced to Sally, and the four of us all hung out and had a great time. Sally had the great idea of going to buy some adult entertainment for us this evening. Hahaha.

I guess this is like the highest budget, all-out porn film ever. I give it an A-

All I can say is that I'll never feel the same about candles, ever again..

We eventually ended up in the Cuddle-Cave, located in Sally's dorm room, and let's just say that the Cuddle-Cave is probably the best place in all of the Muhlenberg Campus. Sally and I had a lot in common, we really enjoyed a lot of the same musical taste, and we both agreed on a lot of the same things, I haven't gotten a long with someone that well in a long time.

I feel like the next day is mostly a blur up until the evening, I know I had lost my keys at this point, so instead of driving in town, Sally, Brooke, and myself all walked several miles into the downtown area to go see Relient K, Ludo, This Providence, and House of Heroes. We got to go hang out with the bands, everyone had a great time.

Brooke, Sally, and Jason with our friend Tim from Ludo!

So the next day we ended up finding my keys, and in celebration we went to a local movie theater in Allentown, PA to relax and check out Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Apparently this parking lot is 'known' for vandalism and break-ins. You'd think someone would put up a sign or something..

This cop had done a 'run-thru' of this very parking lot 20 minutes before my movie got out.

Between then and the time that I got out of Nick & Norah this happened..

...

...

The tricks on them, they left the best CD in the car, yes, I'm plugging my friend's band, 'The Narrative'. You can check them out here!

Things Stolen From Jason:
  • $400 Cash
  • Brand New GPS
  • Hundreds of CDs
  • Hoodie
  • Most of my asthma medication
  • Direct-In for my MP3 player
  • Blackberry Car-charger
  • Other random assorted items
  • Outdated copy of registration

Sooo.. I had to be home that next day.. I had Atmosphere coming to my club and had to be ready for the concert. I was able to gather $23 and some change to pay for tolls and some gas. With this, and half a tank of gas, no map, no GPS I was able to find my way from Allentown to Scarborough, ME in 12 hours. My gas light came on mid New Hampshire, but I rode it another 40 minutes home.

What an adventure.
